Fr. Kevin McDonough

The Rev. Kevin McDonough is pastor at Incarnation/Sagrado Corazón in Minneapolis, Minn.Previously, McDonough served as vicar general and moderator of the Curia for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. He represented the archbishop in various capacities and served as the chief operating officer for the archdiocese. He also served as chancellor and Episcopal vicar for the archdiocese in several capacities relating to canon law and was vice-president of the Archdiocesan Corporate Board. He was rector of St. John Vianney Seminary and associate pastor of the Churches of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Richard.
McDonough is currently Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the University of Saint Thomas and a member of the Board of Governors of the University’s School of Law. He also serves currently on the boards of Comunidades Latinas Unidas en Servicio (CLUES), the Ramsey County Historical Society, the Better Way Foundation, CommonBond Communities, and the Catholic Community Foundation. Past board memberships include: St. John Vianney Seminary, the St. Paul Seminary, Catholic Charities, St. Thomas Academy, Hill-Murray Sponsorship Board, The Catholic Spirit Publishing Company, Salvation Army, and the Academy of the Holy Angels.
He is a member of the Canon Law Society of America. He speaks and writes about theological, administrative and church vocation issues. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
McDonough earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of St. Thomas, a master’s degree in theology from the St. Paul Seminary, and was ordained a priest in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis in 1980. He earned a licentiate in canon law (J.C.L.) and a doctorate in canon law (J.C.D.) from the University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome.
