Elouise Cobell, member of the Blackfeet Indian Tribe of Montana, and former member of Northwest Area Foundation’s Board of Directors is widely recognized for her work on the Individual Indian Monies Trust Correction and Recovery Project. She describes how 100+ years of U.S. policies and practices promotes poverty among Native Americans.
