Mobilizing Partnerships That Have an Impact

The Northwest Area Foundation, like so many funders and nonprofits, recognizes that it’s going to take all of us to promote a region where prosperity is possible for everyone.

It’s why we put resources to create spaces for thought-leaders to come together and examine particularly tough issues, collaborate on emerging approaches, learn from one another and design action plans that help low-income people build assets and wealth.  

These gatherings dive deep into the factors behind persistent poverty and identify the cultural, economic and social assets available for building sustainable prosperity. Participants look at the issues from many angles, including familial, community, educational, economic and public policy perspectives. These efforts continue to grow, owned and governed by their participants – funders, nonprofits, educators, service agencies and more.
