Mr.Nicholas P. Slade
Slade is a consumer rights attorney with Barry & Slade LLC. In his practice, he focuses on representing consumers who have been defrauded or taken advantage of. While in law school he spent two years as a student-certified attorney before becoming an assistant public defender for the Office of the Public Defender 2nd Judicial District in St. Paul, Minn.
Slade earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and his juris doctor from Hamline University School of Law. He also was in the U.S. Army, serving on active duty from January 1982 to January 1985, and in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1994.
He is currently a member of the Minnesota Supreme Court Legal Services Advisory Committee and has served on the board of Franconia Sculpture Park in Franconia, Minn., since August 1997.
Among Slade’s many activities, he has been coaching wrestling for inner-city youth since 1985.
He lives in St. Louis Park Minnesota with his wife and two children.
