Joan supports the Foundation’s efforts to ensure that its investment portfolio reflects the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. She leverages her analytical mindset and interest in investment finance to lead the investment department’s research initiatives.
She is an MBA candidate at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN. As part of her studies at St. Thomas’ Opus College of Business, Joan works alongside fellow students to manage the Aristotle Fund, a $7 million investment portfolio of equity securities. Joan has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Eastern Africa in Eldoret, Kenya.
To date, she’s lived in five countries including Kenya, her home country. She enjoys exploring unfamiliar places, meeting new people, and gaining different perspectives. She hopes to continue doing these things through future travel opportunities.
