James Laducer owns and operates Laducer & Associates, Inc., an information technology company in Mandan, ND, that employs more than 300 people. He also owns Apple Creek Country Club in Bismarck, ND, a private 18-hole golf course with a clubhouse, fine dining, lounge, and pro-shop.
An enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, Laducer is a founder of the Turtle Mountain State Bank in Belcourt, ND. Creating the bank—the first privately held Native American bank in the country and the first bank of its kind to operate on a federally recognized Indian reservation—fulfilled his lifelong dream. He is the majority stockholder and serves as a director, chief lending officer, and executive vice president.
Laducer is the recipient of many awards for his contributions to economic development in North Dakota. His honors include 2007 North Dakota Marketplace Entrepreneur of the Year, 2000 North Dakota Small Business Person of the Year, and 2000 U.S. Department of Treasury Small Business Partner of the Year.
A U.S. Army veteran, Laducer attended Turtle Mountain Community College and the University of Mary in Bismarck. He and his wife live in Bismarck.
