Video: How a Partnership with Juxtaposition Arts Helped Us Live into Our New Values

Coming into 2020, Northwest Area Foundation embarked on a journey to update our organizational values. These six values embody our commitment to grantees, the communities they serve, and the passion that drives us as staff.

In 2022, we wanted to display our values in a way that keeps them top of mind and also advances our vision of justice.

This idea led us to collaborate with Juxtaposition Arts, an art and design center in North Minneapolis that employs and educates young artists to achieve their creative and personal potential. The ensuing partnership resulted in an art installation that effectively encapsulates both the vision of our values and the creative imagination of the talented artists at Juxtaposition Arts.
