In 2025, we doubled our grantmaking budget for the first time in our history to keep pace with the urgent work of our grantee partners. And in 2026, the urgency isn’t decreasing.

Our president and CEO, Kevin Walker, recently sat down and talked about why we stepped up in 2025. In this video, he shares how this allowed us to “double down” on the communities and changemakers we serve, including those who’ve been hit especially hard in Native, immigrant, and refugee communities. He also discusses why we decided to keep the commitment at the same level in 2026.
