The Northwest Area Foundation supports organizations anchored in the culture of the people they serve and who are dedicated to expanding economic opportunity for Native American communities, communities of color, immigrants and refugees, and rural communities.
Our funding advances good jobs and financial capability through our grantmaking.
We want to be informed about and build relationships with organizations that align with our funding priorities. These organizations have a track record of success or demonstrate promising approaches. We will invite them to submit a funding proposal due to the relationship we have built over time. See our grant listings to learn more about the organizations we support.
The grantmaking cycle is about six months long—from the time the Foundation sends out a letter of invitation to the time a grant payment is made.
We generally accept proposals by invitation only. We do not accept unsolicited proposals. Links to opportunities will be listed below. If you’re not on our email list already, we invite you to register, and also to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
