Fourth Quarter Grants 2022

During the fourth quarter of 2022, the Northwest Area Foundation approved 78 grants worth $4,270,387.

The fourth quarter’s funding supports grants that reflect the new grantmaking approach we began implementing at the start of 2022.

Our grantmaking supports organizations within our region of eight states and 76 Native nations that are advancing long-overdue change in deep connection with the land they inhabit and communities they serve—Native Americans, communities of color, immigrants, refugees, and people in rural areas. They’re on a journey to build social, racial, and economic justice—helping communities thrive on their own terms.

We include grants of $10,000 or more in the list below. For information on grants of less than $10,000, please visit our grants database.

Descriptions of highlighted grants appear in our quarterly grants blog — Q4 and 2022 Grants: Native Voices Rising and General-Op Grants Fuel Justice
